A quick overview of the day
- cool but lovely clear morning
- Michael and I set off together at the back of the field
- pretty quick riding on a great surface
- couple of big hills, but in the morning generally heading down to keep things moving along
- fried eggs for lunch
- afternoon was generally uphill slowing things down a bit
- lots of apple (and other fruit) vendors on the side of the road
- somewhat circuitous route into town
- really nice hotel in a great location
- got things dried out while waiting for permanent bags to arrive
- Michael and I took an exploratory wander round town, including finding a provider of refreshing beverages
- dinner’s included in the hotel, so we met in the lobby and had several pre-dinner drinks (to the point that we had to go back to the bottle store)
- great dinner, then took a wander round town again as it’s all lit up!
- back to the hotel and off to bed
